    The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company saw further growth in passenger numbers during the 2014 Isle of Man Festival of Motorcycling.

    Compared with the 2013 event, there was an 11% increase in the number of motorcycles brought to the Island during the Festival, from 3,324 to 3,697.

  • JAMES ENJOYS TRAINING ADVENTURE ON T.S. ROYALIST

    A 14-year-old Sea Cadet has spent a week at sea training on the 29-metre brig T.S. Royalist thanks to an annual sponsorship from the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company.

    Ordinary Cadet James Humphrey was the last Island Cadet to sail on T.S. Royalist, as it is being decommissioned at the end of this year and replaced by another brig.

    Isle of Man Steam Packet Company vessel Manannan resumed her schedule shortly after midday on Tuesday following the cancellation of Monday evening’s sailing from Liverpool to Douglas.

  • UPDATE ON MANANNAN

    Isle of Man Steam Packet vessel Manannan was unable to return to Douglas last night from Liverpool due to a suspected engine electrical control system issue, which prevented one of her engines from starting.

    Specialist engineers will attend the vessel in Liverpool this morning (Tuesday) and it is hoped that they will be able to find and fix the fault.

  • MANANNAN RETURNS TO DOUGLAS DUE TO MEDICAL EMERGENCY

    Today’s (Sat 16 August) 0715hrs Manannan sailing from Douglas to Liverpool returned to Douglas following a medical emergency.

    The incident happened 30 minutes into the crossing, and Manannan headed back to evacuate the passenger, arriving in Douglas shortly before 0900hrs, before setting off again for Liverpool.
