There will be extra Liverpool services and increased availability of offer fares next year, the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company has confirmed as bookings open for the rest of 2015.
The Company has announced Manannan will operate 48 additional seasonal Liverpool sailings next year. The schedule also includes extra year-round services to Heysham, as well as winter services to Birkenhead operated by Ben-my-Chree and seasonal Dublin and Belfast services.

Manannan has returned to full power and will return to its original schedule after repairs to one of its four engines were completed.

The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company has given its support to an ambitious bid to walk from Land’s End to John O’Groats in a straight line.
The route from the southernmost point of England to the most northern tip of mainland Scotland is well-worn by charity fundraisers, but John MacPhee, originally from Inverness and now living in Dundee, is doing something a bit different with the Long Straight Walk.

The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company brought 14 crew members from HMS Vigilant to the Island as part of a charity challenge.
The submarine crew spent three days in the Isle of Man, cycling around the TT course, playing a friendly football match against Isle of Man Post Office and attending a reception at Douglas Town Hall. HMS Vigilant, one of four Vanguard Class Submarines which are part of the UK’s Nuclear Deterrent programme, has a long-held civic affiliation with Douglas.

Isle of Man Steam Packet Company vessel Manannan was delayed leaving Liverpool for today’s scheduled 11:15 sailing due to a medical emergency.
A passenger was taken ill shortly before the vessel arrived in Liverpool and arrangements were made for Manannan to be met by medics so the passenger could be treated and taken to hospital by ambulance.
