The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company has chartered additional P&O Express sailings to assist with demand for TT 2015.
The charter has allowed the Steam Packet Company to revise its schedule and increase the number of sailings. An extra four return sailings have been added to the schedule from the Northern Irish port of Larne while Manannan will operate an additional five Liverpool returns during the TT.

Manannan’s final sailing of the 2014 summer season will be her Liverpool service on Sunday, November 2nd, marking the start of the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company’s winter schedule.
The winter schedule will see Ben-my-Chree operate two Heysham services per day from Monday to Friday, with Saturdays and Sundays seeing her carry out one Heysham and one Liverpool (Birkenhead) sailing on each day, as she has done in recent years.

Once again, Isle of Man Steam Packet Company passengers dug deep when making on board donations during the Isle of Man Festival of Motorcycling, and helped to raise a record-breaking amount.
The annual collection, which is coordinated by crew members from Ben-my-Chree and Manannan on all sailings during the festival, raised £7,802.54 for the Manx Grand Prix Supporters’ Club – the largest amount ever.

Schoolchildren around the Isle of Man are being treated to pioneering music lessons this week, with the visit of the Philharmonia Orchestra’s MusicLab.
The visit of the orchestra’s new mobile ‘pop-up’ musical experience – the first time it has ventured outside of mainland Britain – is part of the Island of Culture 2014 celebrations and the Steam Packet Company was delighted to support the project by shipping the MusicLab to the Island free of charge.

The Curraghs Wildlife Park has welcomed a new resident with the arrival of a male Fishing Cat.
The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company was delighted to assist the Park with transporting ‘Arun’, who had travelled from a zoo in Sweden. This is the latest animal transfer the Company has assisted with this year, having previously helped the Wildlife Park transport a Red Panda, Brazilian Tapir, Roul-roul Partridge, Kookaburra and pairs of Ring-tailed Lemurs and Dik-diks as part of important breeding programmes.
